AION 2 Legion Guide (Global): Join or Create a Legion, Levels, Recruiting and Transfers

In AION 2, guilds are called Legions. Running a good one on Global has less to do with a long rulebook than with three things: whether everyone is in the same region, faction and server; whether you can fill a group for dungeons and the Abyss each week; and whether anyone crosses NC’s red lines, such as boosting services, account sharing or funneling Kinah onto one account.

This guide uses NC’s notices for the Steam / PURPLE Global service as of October 17, 2026. Numbers NC has not published come from guide sites that read the client, and are marked check in-game.

Pick your server first: one faction per server

Global servers are grouped by region (NA East, NA West, Europe, South America, Asia), and each server hosts a single faction. Elyos and Asmodian servers are separate and paired with each other. NC’s October 4 server notice explains that in cross-faction content such as the Abyss and rifts, the enemy players you meet come from the paired server, and pairings are adjusted over time.

So step one for any Legion is getting the core members onto the same region, faction and server. A friend on an Elyos server cannot join your Asmodian Legion.

Unlocking, joining and creating a Legion

  • Unlock: the Legion menu opens after a main-story quest rather than at a fixed level. Guide sites name Renewed Resolve (Elyos) and Buried Atrocities (Asmodians), at around level 16. You do not need to wait for 45.
  • Join: open the Legion menu, browse recruiting Legions and apply. Once an officer accepts, you appear on the roster.
  • Create: guide sites list the cost as 100,000 Kinah (check in-game). You set a name, choose open or approval-based recruiting and write a short description.
  • Advice: starting a Legion from scratch in the first weeks is hard. Unless you already have a group of friends, join an active Legion first and learn the content.

Member cap and Legion levels

Guide sites using client data list a 128-member cap that does not grow with Legion level, and four officer slots besides the leader. They also list Legion levels 1–20, with small passive bonuses for every member:

Legion level EXP bonus Other stats (guide-site data)
1 +1% —
5 +2% HP/MP +16, evasion/accuracy/attack +1
10 +3% HP/MP +36, evasion/accuracy/attack/defense +2
15 +3% HP/MP +56, evasion/accuracy +4, attack/defense +3
20 +3% HP +80, MP +70, evasion/accuracy +5, attack/defense +4

NC has not published any of this, and some guides doubt that every part is live on Global, so treat the table as a reference and check your Legion window. More importantly, do not recruit with promises like “level 10 gives X stats”; if it turns out differently, you lose people’s trust.

Recruiting: schedules and classes, not slogans

Time zones matter most. Global players are spread across regions, and even on an Asia server some log in at 8 p.m. while others play after midnight. Fix a weekly raid or Abyss night first, then recruit for that slot.

Class balance comes next. Group dungeons need at least a tank and a healer; English guide sites suggest one tank and one healer for five-player content and two of each for larger groups. Templars, Clerics and Chanters tend to be in short supply. See the class tier list and our Cleric guide.

Where to recruit: the in-game recruitment channel is the most direct; a voice or chat server helps with scheduling.

Write your entry rules down:

  • A level or combat-power floor (dungeons have item-level gates; check in-game);
  • How many fixed events per week people should attend;
  • An explicit ban on boosting, account lending and buying or selling Kinah (see below).

Planning the week: dungeons, Abyss and events

The missions in NC’s Halloween event happen to list the main group content on Global right now, which makes them a handy template for a Legion calendar:

Content How to use it
Transcendence Fixed groups practicing coordination
Expedition Conquest Carrying new members, farming drops
Ascension Trial, Nightmare Split groups by combat power
Dimensional Invasion Gather when it is up
Abyss Move as a group against the paired server’s faction
Shugo Festival On the hour, everyone joins on their own

Budget Abyss time. Since October 14 the maximum stored Abyss time is 7 hours, and weekly missions such as “spend 1 hour in the Abyss” and “defeat Guardian Nahma once” add entry stones. Until the October 27/28 maintenance, level 45 characters can also buy event Abyss Rift Stones for 50,000 Kinah, up to 7 per character per week. Details are in our Abyss time news.

Wait for the raid notice. The Ludra Sanctuary raid was pulled for rework at launch. Plan progression around the official return notice, not around early-access strategies.

Rewards: you cannot just hand out gear

The classic advice to “fill the Legion warehouse and gear up active members” does not work well on Global: direct player-to-player trading is closed, the Market is the main trading channel, and many drops and event items are bound. More realistic options:

  • Agree on loot rules (need-based or rotation) before each run;
  • Carry and teach newer members instead of giving them items;
  • Organize group farming during events such as the Pumpkin Coin missions so nobody misses limited rewards.

Server transfers: leave first, move together

NC’s transfer window runs October 14–28: one week before for the early-access servers, and after the October 20 (PDT) / 21 (CEST) maintenance for live servers. A character must:

  • Be level 10 or higher and standing in a village;
  • Not belong to any Legion and have no pending Legion application;
  • Have no Duty quest in progress, and have cleared Market listings, shop storage and mail.

Transfers are only within the same region and faction, and each account can transfer once during the whole period. If a Legion wants to move as a whole, the leader should pick the destination and a date, everyone leaves, transfers, then re-forms or rejoins on the new server. See the transfer rules and our transfer checklist.

What can get the whole Legion in trouble

Several points in NC’s operation policy bear directly on Legions:

  • Boosting and account sharing: repeatedly handing an account to someone else can be penalized as boosting, and violations during account sharing can hit both accounts.
  • Organized gold farming and RMT: all four account-restriction notices (Oct 10, 12, 14 and 15) name “organized play patterns consistent with gold farming or RMT” and abnormal trades that damage the economy.
  • Helping counts too: people who assist, collude or profit can be penalized alongside the offender.

So the one rule every Legion charter should have is: no account lending, no boosting, no buying or selling Kinah.

Less routine, more time for the Legion

Many players drift away because they cannot finish their dailies and still make raid night. Aion2 Bot (Aion.Onl) has a Daily Activities planner that chains Auto Task, field Kinah farming, gathering and character switching into one sequence; Abyss auto farming follows your patrol points and tops up time with Abyss stones; and Krao Cave has an Auto Dungeon beta (1,100+ combat power recommended) that still needs you to keep an eye on it.

To be clear: this is a third-party tool, the kind NC’s notices name. Aion.Onl uses advanced anti-detection techniques to protect accounts as far as possible, but no tool can guarantee you will not be banned, so weigh the risk yourself. We would still play Legion nights by hand. New users can register at user.aion.onl for a free 3-hour test card, and tutorials and support are on Telegram.
