AION 2 Global Transfers: October Windows, Free Moves and Server Storage Risks
Region: AION 2 Global on Steam and PURPLE. This is not a Korean or Taiwanese service policy, and it does not permit unrestricted cross-region transfers.
NCSOFT’s October 9, 2026 server-transfer announcement finally provides actionable dates and eligibility rules for Global characters. The headline may be “free transfers,” but the scheduling and storage exceptions are equally important.
Two windows, depending on server type
Early Access servers are scheduled to accept transfer applications after maintenance on October 13 PDT / October 14 in Europe, with the window ending before October 20 PDT / October 21 European maintenance.
Launch servers get their own period, after October 20 PDT / October 21 European maintenance through before October 27 PDT / October 28 European maintenance. Players should not confuse the two windows—or mistake the two regional calendar dates for separate launch events.
The entry point is Shop → Server Transfer. Region-specific daily application hours and destination capacity restrictions apply, so a transfer may not be available at every moment of an otherwise eligible day.
Zero Quna does have an exception
The base transfer costs 0 Quna and moving existing characters costs 0 Quna. Multiple characters can be included, but there is only one transfer application per account and the application uses one source and one destination server.
If the destination does not have enough character slots, an additional slot costs 1,000 Quna. More importantly, the allowable route is constrained to the same geographic region, the same faction and the same server category. An Early Access world is not freely interchangeable with a launch world, and the policy does not offer a Europe-to-North-America move.
Clear these blockers before applying
Characters included in the move must be at least level 10 and located in a village. They must not belong to a Legion, have a pending Legion application or be engaged in an active Duty mission. Players also need to reconcile marketplace listings and unsettled sale proceeds, claim outstanding character mail and deal with Shop Storage items, including applicable Founder’s Pack inventory.
The biggest asset warning is Server Storage: items and Kinah in that storage do not transfer. Move eligible belongings to a character’s inventory or character storage before proceeding. Quna, Mileage, membership, Daeva Pass and various account-bound entitlements follow the announced preservation rules; those protections do not cancel the Server Storage exclusion.
Transferred characters receive temporary names and must complete the renaming procedure. Before scheduling a move, check the official daily hours for your region and verify all account conditions directly in game.
