AION 2 Global Restricts 7,933 More Accounts in Fourth Enforcement Notice

Region: Steam/PURPLE Global, not Korea or Taiwan. NC has published its fourth account-restriction notice for AION 2 Global, reporting 7,933 restricted accounts. The notice lists the action at October 15, 10:00 p.m. PDT / October 16, 6:00 a.m. CEST. Those two times are an hour apart once converted, so treat the notice itself as the reference.

How the numbers have moved

Four restriction notices have now appeared on the Steam announcements page since the October 5 launch:

Notice Effective (PDT, as listed) Accounts restricted
First Oct 10, 11:00 p.m. 4,996
Second Oct 12, 11:00 p.m. 10,000
Third Oct 14, 12:00 a.m. 9,422
Fourth (this one) Oct 15, 10:00 p.m. 7,933

This batch is smaller than the October 12 and October 14 rounds but still larger than the first. The four published figures add up to 32,351. NC has not said whether batches overlap and has not given a running total, so that number is only the sum of its notices.

Since October 10 the notices have arrived roughly every one to two days. NC has not said whether it will keep reporting on a fixed schedule.

Nothing new in the categories

The body text is essentially unchanged from the earlier three. NC took action against:

  • Botting and gold farming: macros, bots or other unauthorized programs, and organized play patterns consistent with gold farming or real-money trading (RMT).
  • Economy abuse: abnormal trading patterns that disrupt the game economy.

The cited sanctions are again Gold Farming / Bot Operations, Use of Unauthorized Programs, and Real-Money Trading (RMT) under the Operation Policy. There is still no breakdown of penalty length, so “restricted” should not be read as “permanently banned” for every account.

Grinding, security locks and appeals

NC again states that restrictions follow a review and that normal play, including long grinding sessions, is not affected. Spending long hours in the game is not, by itself, presented as a violation. That is not the same as approving unauthorized programs.

The notice also mentions a small number of temporary security locks placed on accounts accessed from a device or connection that looked risky, for example a possible compromise. NC says a security lock is not a penalty; it protects the account and items until access is verified. Contact Customer Support to restore access.

What it means for players

  • Check which notice you received. A security lock is resolved through support; for a restriction you believe is wrong, file a ticket, which NC says is reviewed individually.
  • All four notices list RMT and abnormal trading next to bots, so trading behavior is under the same review as farming.
  • The figures are for the Global service only, and the notice says nothing about how detection works.
