AION 2 Global Restricts 9,422 Accounts in October 14 Enforcement Notice
Region: Steam/PURPLE Global, not Korea or Taiwan. NC has posted another account-restriction notice on the AION 2 Steam announcements page, reporting 9,422 restricted accounts. The official timestamp is October 14 at 12:00 a.m. PDT / 9:00 a.m. CEST.
Third notice in five days
This is the third enforcement report since the Global launch on October 5. The Steam announcements page lists:
| Notice | Effective (as listed by NC) | Accounts restricted |
|---|---|---|
| First | Oct 10, 11:00 p.m. PDT / Oct 11, 8:00 a.m. CEST | 4,996 |
| Second | Oct 12, 11:00 p.m. PDT / Oct 13, 8:00 a.m. CEST | 10,000 |
| Third (this one) | Oct 14, 12:00 a.m. PDT / 9:00 a.m. CEST | 9,422 |
Added together, the three notices come to 24,418 restricted accounts. That is a simple sum of the published figures: NC has not said whether any accounts appear in more than one batch, and it has not published a running total of its own.
Same categories as before
The wording matches the earlier notices almost line for line. NC took action against:
- Botting and gold farming: macros, bots or other unauthorized programs, and organized play patterns consistent with gold farming or real-money trading (RMT).
- Economy abuse: abnormal trading patterns that disrupt the game economy.
The listed basis is the Operation Policy sanctions table: Gold Farming / Bot Operations, Use of Unauthorized Programs, and Real-Money Trading (RMT). As before, there is no per-account breakdown of penalty length, so the figure is a count of restricted accounts, not a confirmed count of permanent bans.
What NC says about normal play and security locks
The notice repeats that restrictions are applied only after review, and that normal play, including long grinding sessions, is not affected. Long sessions alone are not treated as an offense. That line is not permission to run unauthorized software, either.
A small number of accounts were also put under a temporary security lock. NC says this happens when it sees access from a device or connection that may put the account at risk, such as a possible compromise. In NC’s words, a security lock “is not a penalty”: it holds the account and its items until access can be verified, and affected players should contact Customer Support to restore it.
What this means for Global players
- If you can’t log in, check whether the message is an account restriction or a security lock. They are handled differently.
- If you think a restriction or lock was a mistake, NC asks you to file a ticket with Customer Support as soon as possible. Each request is reviewed individually.
- RMT and abnormal trading are named alongside bots, so enforcement covers how Kina changes hands, not just how it is farmed.
- These figures cover the Global service only. They are not a Korean or Taiwanese enforcement report, and the notice does not describe how detection works.
