AION 2 Global Restricts 10,000 Accounts in Second Enforcement Notice

Region: Steam/PURPLE Global, not Korea or Taiwan. NC has posted its second account-restriction notice since the Global launch, reporting 10,000 restricted accounts. The official timestamp is October 12 at 11:00 p.m. PDT / October 13 at 8:00 a.m. CEST.

Compared with the first notice

Notice Effective (as listed by NC) Accounts restricted
First Oct 10, 11:00 p.m. PDT / Oct 11, 8:00 a.m. CEST 4,996
Second (this one) Oct 12, 11:00 p.m. PDT / Oct 13, 8:00 a.m. CEST 10,000

Two days after the first batch, this one is roughly twice the size. Together the two notices list 14,996 restricted accounts. That is a simple sum: NC has not said whether any account appears in both batches, and it has not published a running total.

The same violation categories

The notice names the same two groups as the October 10 report:

  • Botting and gold farming: macros, bots or other unauthorized programs, and organized play patterns consistent with gold farming or real-money trading (RMT).
  • Economy abuse: abnormal trading patterns that disrupt the game economy.

The listed basis is the Operation Policy sanctions table: Gold Farming / Bot Operations, Use of Unauthorized Programs, and Real-Money Trading (RMT). There is no per-account breakdown of penalty length, so 10,000 is a count of restricted accounts, not of confirmed permanent bans.

Long grinding sessions and security locks

NC says restrictions are applied only after review and that normal play, including long grinding sessions, is not affected. Long hours alone are not treated as an offense, though that is no green light for unauthorized software.

A small number of accounts also received a temporary security lock after access from a device or connection that looked risky, such as a possible compromise. NC states that a security lock is not a penalty; it protects the account and its items until access is verified. Players affected should contact Customer Support.

What this means for Global players

  • If you can’t log in, check whether the message is an account restriction or a security lock. They are handled differently.
  • If you believe a restriction or lock was a mistake, NC asks you to file a ticket with Customer Support as soon as possible. Each request is reviewed individually.
  • RMT and abnormal trading are listed next to bots, so trading behavior is reviewed as well as farming.
  • The figures cover the Global service only, and the notice does not explain how detection works.
