Can You Multibox in AION 2? Multi-Client Setup, Batch Login and the Rules

Short answer: you can run more than one AION 2 Global client at once, one account per client, each logged in separately. NC’s operation policy has no line that says “multiboxing is banned”. What it does list, under gold farming and bot operation, is using multiple accounts for commercial purposes, and the penalty for that is a ban on all linked accounts. So the question is not how many windows you open, but what those accounts are doing.

This guide covers the rules first, then what to prepare before multiboxing and how to make logging in less painful. It is about the Steam / PURPLE Global version only; the Taiwan and Korean versions have their own notices.

What the operation policy says

The rules live in the AION 2 Global operation policy. The entries that touch multiple accounts, summarized (the English original is what counts):

Policy entry Behavior covered Penalty
Gold farming / bot operation Using multiple accounts for commercial play; obtaining, moving or cashing out items through multiple accounts with unauthorized programs or gambling Ban on linked accounts
Unauthorized programs Programs that bypass technical protection or disrupt normal operation Ban on linked accounts
Boosting Playing other people’s accounts as a business; repeatedly handing your account details to someone else to play 7 days / 30 days / permanent; business-style or organized boosting can go straight to permanent
RMT Paying someone to level your character 30 days / 90 days
Account trading Buying or selling accounts or characters for cash, goods or items from other games 7 / 30 / 90 days
Account sharing Violations that happen while you share an account through your own fault can get both accounts penalized Depends on the violation

Two details are easy to miss: losses caused by account trading or sharing are not restored, and people who help, collude in or profit from a violation can be penalized too.

Since launch NC has posted four account-restriction notices on Steam (October 10, 12, 14 and 15). Each one names the same two groups: macros, bots and other unauthorized programs, and “organized play patterns consistent with gold farming or RMT”, plus abnormal trading that hurts the economy. The October 4 warning about illicit currency also says that buying Kina or Quna from third parties breaks the terms of service and can end your access to the game. Our ban wave breakdown has the numbers.

Is running a few of your own alts against the rules?

Going by the policy text, three things decide how risky it is:

  1. Commercial purpose. Multiboxing to farm and sell Kina is exactly “multiple accounts for commercial purposes”, the heaviest category.
  2. Unauthorized programs. The policy does not name input broadcasters or external scripts one by one, but “unauthorized program” is a wide term, and the risk is yours.
  3. Who actually plays the account. Lending accounts to friends, handing them to a booster or several people sharing one login can all be treated as account sharing or boosting.

Running your own alts for dailies and leveling, without selling currency, is not named as banned. NC has not said publicly that it is allowed either. If you are unsure, NC support’s answer is what counts.

You will also see the claim that “several accounts on one IP get banned together”. That mostly comes from player talk during the Korean server’s boosting crackdown in September. NC has never published an IP-based rule, so treat it as unconfirmed and check official notices. It is not a rule, and changing your IP does not make anything safe.

What to prepare before multiboxing

Accounts

  • Register and secure each account on its own and keep your own login details.
  • Global servers are split by region (NA East, NA West, Europe, South America, Asia). Alts and your main need to be in the same region to play together; moving later is covered in the server transfer checklist.
  • The market needs membership to list items, so every account that sells needs its own membership. Whether it counts per account or per character, follow NC’s notice. Details in market requirements.

Client

  • One Steam account can only run one client at a time, so multiboxers usually use the PURPLE client and log each account in there.
  • Server queues and PURPLE’s bot verification have to be cleared for every account. With many accounts, logging in alone takes real time.

PC

  • Every extra client adds roughly the same RAM, VRAM and CPU load again. Most multibox setups lower graphics and cap the frame rate before adding more clients.
  • Start with two clients and add more once that runs stable. When the PC struggles, disconnects and stuck loading screens become more common.
  • If you use a helper tool, set your resolution before installing it and do not change it afterward. Aion2 Bot supports full screen, so window mode is not required. Setup and crash troubleshooting are in setup.

Batch login: manual vs. the Control Center

The worst part of manual multiboxing is the repetition: open each client, log in, pick the server, wait in queue, and notice on your own when one account drops so you can reconnect it. With more accounts it also gets hard to see which one is doing what, or which one has a problem.

The Control Center in Aion2 Bot (Aion.Onl) is built for this step. You add NC email accounts, or add accounts through Google, Steam, Apple and other platform logins (you sign in to the platform in a browser window; the password is not stored). Then you can select several accounts and start or stop them in one go, or use “Start daily activities” so every enabled account runs the routine you set up. One table shows each account’s running status, Kina and remaining market membership time. Multiboxing in the Control Center uses the PURPLE client; Steam accounts can be added too and log in through PURPLE. To keep the number of clients your PC runs at once under control, use work hours and queue rotation: set 1 to 16 accounts online at the same time, and the rest wait in queue.

Account status checks every account in the background: normal, banned, verification needed, restricted or session expired. A banned account’s row turns gray, and the details show the reason, duration and unban time. “Appeal assist” opens NC’s official unban page; you solve the image captcha yourself, and that page allows at most 8 attempts per network per day. If the game crashes, it restarts automatically and picks the previous task back up.

To be clear: a helper tool is a third-party program, which is exactly the category NC’s notices name. Aion.Onl uses advanced anti-detection technology to protect accounts as far as possible, but no tool can guarantee you will not be banned. Multiboxing and automation both carry a risk of penalties, so read the rules before you decide. New users get a free 3-hour test card at user.aion.onl, and guides and support are on Telegram. FAQ

Will multiboxing get me banned? The number of clients alone is not listed as a reason. What gets penalized is commercial use of multiple accounts, unauthorized programs, boosting and account trading.

One of my accounts got restricted. What now? First check whether it is a penalty or a security lock. NC’s notices say a security lock is temporary protection after an unusual login and is not a penalty. If you think the restriction is a mistake, open a ticket with NC support; NC says each case is reviewed. Do not pay anyone for an “unban service”. Only NC can lift a restriction, and handing over your account makes things worse.

Can I carry my alts through dungeons? Several of your accounts in the same dungeon is not named in the policy, but how you control them matters. Switching windows by hand is not the same as driving them together with an input broadcaster or script, which can be judged an unauthorized program.
