AION 2 Auto Combat Guide: Is There Auto Hunt? Macros, Bans and Bot Grinding Setup

Short answer: the PC version of AION 2 has no built-in auto combat or auto hunt. You get skill macros that chain several skills onto one key, auto-targeting options and quest auto-pathing, but picking targets, moving and looting are still on you. So when people search for “AION 2 auto combat”, they usually mean one of two things: the in-game macro system, or a third-party grinding bot.

This guide explains the difference and the official rules first, then walks through how bot grinding is actually configured: skill rotations by class, patrol points, pulling and kill-stealing. It covers the Steam / PURPLE Global service as of October 17, 2026.

Built-in macros vs. a grinding bot

In-game skill macro Third-party grinding bot
What it is A game feature that fires skills in order from one key A program outside the game that finds mobs, casts and loots
Do you need to be there? Yes: you press keys, pick targets and move No, it runs without constant input
Official status Part of the game An “unauthorized program”, named in every ban notice

Players on Taiwanese forums also share PC settings such as “auto-aim when using skills” plus holding the mouse button so one skill keeps firing on nearby mobs. That is still a game setting: you have to sit there holding the key, and it stops when you let go. The Korean and Taiwanese mobile version has auto skills; the PC client does not.

Since Global launched, NC has posted four account-restriction notices (processed October 10, 12, 14 and 15 PDT) covering 32,351 accounts in total. Each names the same two things: macros, bots or other unauthorized programs, and organized play patterns consistent with gold farming or RMT. The October 15 notice also says normal play, including long grinding sessions, is not affected. In Korea, local media reported NC blocking tens of thousands of macro accounts in December 2025 and reclaiming Kinah from them. Our ban wave explainer goes through what gets flagged.

The game also throws up Guardian verification (an image captcha) at random. It is NC’s built-in anti-AFK check, and any grinding tool has to deal with it.

Before you grind: four game settings

  1. Set the action mode to “Aion1”. Without it, tools like Aion2 Bot may not be able to auto-attack.
  2. Turn on auto-extraction in your inventory. It is a built-in feature that breaks down low-value gear so your bag does not fill up during long sessions.
  3. Lock in your resolution first. Aion2 Bot works in fullscreen or windowed mode, but set your resolution before installing and do not change it afterwards. See the setup checklist.
  4. Tidy your hotbar. Skills need to sit on the hotbar; stacked Stigma skills are recognized too.

Skill rotations: think in class roles

Old guides that tell you to “open with Heavy Strike as a warrior and Fireball as a mage” were written for other games. Global has eight classes, and what matters for grinding is melee or ranged, area damage or single target, and how hard you hit:

Class Role Active pulling Rapid-fire mode
Gladiator Melee, lots of area skills Not recommended Not applicable
Templar Melee tank Not recommended Not applicable
Assassin Melee burst, fragile Not recommended Not applicable
Ranger Ranged physical Depends on gear Worth trying with strong gear
Sorcerer Ranged magic, area damage Good fit Usually off
Spiritmaster Fights with summoned spirits Depends on gear Usually off
Cleric Main healer, slow to kill Not recommended Not applicable
Chanter Melee support Not recommended Not applicable

The switches in the table follow the principles in the Aion2 Bot feature docs and are a starting point, not a rule. Active pulling gathers mobs before fighting, which suits area-damage classes but tends to get melee characters killed. Rapid-fire mode uses only basic attacks while moving and skips the rotation, which only makes sense for ranged characters with high attack. For class strength and solo performance, see the class tier list and best class for solo farming.

Patrol points and mob filters

Where your character walks while looking for mobs is set by patrol points:

  • Smart Plan finds a nearby area with plenty of mobs and builds a back-and-forth route (it replaces existing points).
  • Manual points: walk to a spot and click “Add current position”; you can reorder them.
  • About three points close to each other works best. Spread them out and you spend the session running.
  • Points are saved per map and only apply to that map.

If you only want certain mobs, for example to raise a pet’s understanding, use the mob filter: click “Add” in the nearby-mobs list and only checked mobs are attacked. An empty list means everything is a target.

Pull distance and kill-stealing

Setting Default How to tune it
Pull distance 25 m (15–25) Larger pulls more; under 20 m is basically pulling in place
Allow kill-stealing Off Turn on when mobs are scarce and your gear is good; you will pull less
Switch to gathering when ground Kinah is full On Moves to gathering once the day’s field Kinah is near its cap

Open-world grinding in Aion2 Bot does not target bosses on its own, so it does not interfere with pet farming or field Kinah. Field Kinah has a daily cap (Korea cut it from 2 million to 1 million per character per day, according to Korean media; check Global notices for your server). Once you hit it, keep going only if you are farming something else.

Keep an eye on a few things

  • Deaths and damage: if you keep dying at one spot, move or turn off active pulling.
  • Potions and return scrolls: auto buy and sell is supported, but bring enough for the first run.
  • Loading screens: on map changes the page only says the scene is loading; give it a moment.
  • Plan for the unexpected: disconnects, captchas and a full bag. Check your tool has a setting for each before leaving it alone.

Auto combat in Aion2 Bot

The setup above is exactly how Auto Combat in Aion2 Bot (Aion.Onl) works: press F10 to open the helper menu, go to Auto Combat, click Smart Plan under patrol settings, set rapid-fire, active pulling and kill-stealing for your class, then click “Start Combat” (Ctrl+B). Rotations cover every class; Templar and Cleric were added on October 9. Patrol routes and mob filters and smart pet farming have their own pages, and Guardian verification is handled by the free built-in AI captcha recognition while Control Center is open, with no ClientKey to set up.

If what you really want is leveling rather than grinding, that is Auto Task: AION 2 levels through the main story and side quests, and Auto Task runs them from 1 to 45 for both Elyos and Asmodians.

Be clear about the risk: a grinding bot is the kind of third-party tool NC’s notices name. Aion.Onl uses advanced anti-detection techniques to protect accounts as far as possible, but no tool can guarantee you will not be banned. Read the rules and decide for yourself. New users can register at user.aion.onl for a free 3-hour test card, the client is on the download page, and tutorials and support are on Telegram.
