Best Class for Solo Farming in AION 2 (Global)
If you want one answer: Gladiator is the safest pick for solo farming on AION 2 Global right now. Most community tier lists put it at or near the top for open-world grinding, with Ranger and Spiritmaster close behind. Cleric is the class most lists call slowest for farming alone.
That answer comes with a big caveat. NC does not publish class rankings, and no damage meter tracks solo farming. Every list below is an editorial judgement by a community or guide site, based on reviews, skill kits and player experience. This article summarizes those sources as of October 16, 2026, on the Global launch build (Early Access September 30, full launch October 5). A balance patch can change the picture quickly.
What “solo farming” means here
Solo farming is killing mobs alone in the open world: grinding Kinah, experience, pet drops and materials without a party. Four things decide how good a class is at it:
- Area damage: how many mobs you kill per pull.
- Sustain: whether you can keep pulling without stopping to heal or drink potions.
- Kill speed: how fast a single pack goes down.
- Safety: how badly a mistake or an extra pull punishes you.
This is different from dungeon or PvP rankings. A class that tops Expedition damage charts can still feel slow in the field, and a class that groups love, like Cleric, can be painful alone.

|---|---|---|---|
| Gladiator | S | S | Top pick |
| Ranger | S | A | Strong kill speed, weak start |
| Spiritmaster | A | S | Rated about as high as Gladiator |
| Sorcerer | A | C | Highest AoE, fragile |
| Chanter | A | B | Levels well with heals and shields |
| Templar | B | B | Slowest solo class |
| Assassin | B | B | Strong in skilled hands |
| Cleric | C | C | Very hard to kill, slow to level |
Sources: Shugo.gg Global solo farm tier list, aion2tierlist.com solo tier list, Daeva Guides best solo class. Daeva Guides gives a written recommendation, not letter tiers. Dates are each page’s own update date. All three are editorial lists, not official data.
The lists agree on the top and the bottom, and disagree in the middle. Sorcerer is the clearest split: one list rates it A for clearing packs fast, another rates it C because its early game is slow and gear-hungry.
Class by class
Gladiator: the default answer
Wide sweeping attacks, lifesteal and a charge that resets on kills let Gladiator pull a pack, clear it and move on without stopping. Every source above puts it first or joint first. If you are new and only want one character for farming, this is the low-risk choice. The trade-off is that it is a melee class, so you have to be in the middle of the pack.
Ranger: fastest from range
Ranger attacks quickly from a distance and can kite, so a bad pull rarely kills you. Shugo.gg calls it the fastest ranged farmer at launch. The catch is a slow start: several lists say it feels weak until its key skills unlock, so it rewards players who push past the first levels.
Spiritmaster: comfortable rather than fast
Spirits hold the mobs while you attack from range, which makes solo play very safe. Daeva Guides calls the class “Elementalist”; on Global the official name is Spiritmaster. The downside is pace: lists describe it as comfortable rather than quick, and a messy pull can drain its own health. The October 13/14 patch notes fixed an issue where Ancient Spirit summons at level 15 or below did not use their skills properly (official patch notes), so early levels should feel better than at launch.
Sorcerer: high ceiling, rough start
Sorcerer has the strongest area damage on paper and clears rooms fast once geared. Below that point it is fragile, and lists that weigh leveling heavily rank it low. The same October 13/14 patch fixed bonus damage on Fire Wall and Cold Storm not applying when there was a height difference in combat, which matters a lot on uneven field terrain.
Chanter: steady and safe
Chanter combines area strikes, a charge that resets on kills and self-healing. Most lists place it a step behind Gladiator in speed, but it rarely dies. It also stays useful in groups, which helps if you plan to run dungeons later.
Templar, Assassin and Cleric: workable, but slower
- Templar is very hard to kill but slow to finish fights. Shugo.gg notes its farming loop depends on a stigma that takes a long time to level.
- Assassin kills single targets fast and can stun packs, but weak area damage and limited sustain make big pulls tedious. Strong in experienced hands.
- Cleric is the safest class alone and the slowest killer. It is far more valuable in parties, and the Steam forums have plenty of threads asking for more healers.
How to choose for your situation
- Main character, mostly farming: Gladiator, or Ranger if you prefer ranged play.
- You want to farm and also be wanted in groups: Chanter, or Cleric if you accept slower solo play.
- Alt for farming: pick the farming class you do not already have, so one character’s daily Kinah cap from field monsters isn’t the limit on your whole account.
- You hate dying: Spiritmaster or Gladiator.
Two cautions. First, Global launched behind the Korean service on content and balance patches (per launch coverage and community guides), so Korean tier lists and videos may not match what you see. Second, gear changes everything. A well-geared Sorcerer will outfarm an undergeared Gladiator, so treat tiers as a starting point.
Farming alone without the repetition
Whatever class you pick, solo farming is the same loop for hours: find a spot with enough mobs, walk the route, pull, fight, loot, repeat until the daily cap. AION 2 itself has no auto combat, only auto-pathing for quests and auto-loot for pets.
In Aion2 Bot (Aion.Onl), Auto Combat handles that loop. It runs a skill rotation for every class, including Stigma skills stacked on the hotbar. Active Pull gathers mobs before fighting, which suits ranged area-damage classes such as Sorcerer; the settings recommend leaving it off for melee classes. Rapid Fire Mode lets high-damage ranged classes use basic attacks while moving. It won’t chase bosses during field grinding, and by default it switches to gathering when you reach about 95% of the day’s Kinah cap from field monsters. Patrol points and the monster filter decide where you farm: Smart Plan finds a dense monster area nearby and builds a back-and-forth route, and the filter limits attacks to the mobs you tick.
A fair warning: NC’s account restriction notices name “macros, bots or other unauthorized programs”. Aion.Onl uses advanced anti-detection techniques to protect accounts as far as possible, but no third-party tool can guarantee you won’t be banned. New users can try a free 3-hour test card at user.aion.onl, and support is on Telegram.
