AION 2 Global Trick or Treat Halloween Event: Pumpkin Coins and Rewards

Region: Steam/PURPLE Global, not Korea or Taiwan. NC has posted the full rules for the “Trick or Treat!” Halloween event on the AION 2 Steam announcements page. It runs from after the scheduled maintenance on October 13 (PDT) / October 14 (CEST) until before the scheduled maintenance on November 3 (PST) / November 4 (CET). You log in daily and complete event missions to earn “Halloween Pumpkin Coin (Event)”, then trade those coins with merchants in town.

1. Fourteen-day attendance

The “Trick or Treat” attendance track sits under the in-game menu’s Attendance tab. It resets daily at 12:00 AM PDT / 9:00 AM CEST.

Add up the table and all 14 days give 620 coins. Attendance rewards can be claimed once per server.

2. Weekly event missions

Ten event missions appear under Season Mission > Event. The table lists the reset as once per week per server:

Clear all ten and that’s 235 coins a week.

3. The coin shop

A Coin Merchant NPC appears in each town: for Elyos at Dawn Legion Base / Zumion Village in Verteron, for Asmodians at Safe Haven / Nornir Assembly in Altgard.

The Special Halloween Chest gives you both a “Spooky Scary Skeleton (Skin: Breastplate) (Bound)” and 10,000 “Pet Soul Crystal”.

Both snacks last 5 minutes. Halloween Candy gives Attack 25, Defense 250, Max Stamina 300 and 40% faster natural Stamina regen. Halloween Cookie gives Max HP 500, Max MP 250, Max Stamina 300 and the same 40% Stamina regen boost.

4. Candy Keys

Clearing Expedition and Transcendence Dungeons drops “Candy Key Fragment (Event)”. Through the event Substance Morph, 60 fragments make a Red, Yellow or Blue Candy Key (100% success, each once per week per server). A single fragment can also be morphed into 10 Superior Power Shards (Bound). The keys open event candies placed around the towns:

When event items disappear

Special Halloween Chest, Resurrection Spiritstone, Instant Clear Ticket: Daily Dungeon, Nightmare Dungeon Challenge Ticket, Shugo Festival Reward Key and Odyle Energy (all Bound): deleted on December 15, 11:00 PM PST / December 16, 8:00 AM CET.
Halloween Candy, Halloween Cookie, Candy Key Fragment and the Candy Keys: deleted on November 3, 11:00 PM PST / November 4, 8:00 AM CET.

None of the event items can be traded. Once the event ends, the mission rewards are removed from your inventory.

What this means for Global players

With 620 coins from attendance and up to 235 a week from missions, the 250-coin Special Halloween Chest is well within reach. Spare coins can go into Odyle Energy and Lower Abyss Rift Stones, two things level 45+ players use every day. Most limits are per server, so characters on the same server share them. The Odyle Energy and Spiritstones you get are deleted on December 16 (CET), and the snacks, fragments and keys go on November 4, so spend them rather than saving them.

The missions are mostly things you already do: Abyss, dungeons, Dimensional Invasion and the hourly Shugo Festival. If those are already part of your week, maxing the weekly coins takes little extra effort.
