AION 2 Global Currently Lists 8 Languages on Steam, Down from NC's Earlier 10-Language Plan
AION 2 Global is close to Advanced Access, and its current language list is narrower than NC’s earlier launch plan.
As of September 27, both the Steam store and the official pre-release FAQ list eight languages: English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian and Korean.
What changed from the earlier plan?
In April, NC publicly described the Global version as supporting ten languages. That list included both Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
The current Steam and FAQ listings no longer show either Chinese option. NC has not published a separate explanation for the difference, so it would be premature to describe Chinese localization as permanently cancelled. For launch preparation, however, the current eight-language list is the safer reference unless NC updates it again.
What Steam currently shows
Steam separates interface, full-audio and subtitle support. English, Japanese and Korean currently include full audio, while the other listed European languages provide interface and subtitle support.
Players entering Advanced Access on September 30 should therefore avoid assuming that a Chinese interface will be available on day one simply because it appeared in earlier planning material.
The language table can still change before or after launch. If Simplified or Traditional Chinese returns to Steam or NC publishes a clarification, that would represent a meaningful update to the Global client.
