AION 2 Global Oct. 7 Patch: Weekly Sealed Wings Morph Cap and Higher Raw Leather Drops

Region: Steam/PURPLE Global, not Korea or Taiwan. The biggest item in NC’s October 6 (PDT) / October 7 (CEST) patch notes was the Founder’s Pack change that lets cosmetics work across characters and servers, which we covered at the time. The same patch also changed a few everyday resources, and those deserve a closer look.

Sealed Wings to Enhance Stones: 20 morphs per server per week

The patch adds a weekly limit of 20 Morphs per server to the Substance Morph formula that turns Sealed Wings into Enhance Stones. The notes mention only the limit; they don’t say whether the conversion ratio changed as well.

Higher Raw Leather drop rates

Drop rates for “Raw Leather” go up for monsters in:

Chaotic Lower Reshanta;
Verteron and Altgard.

No before-and-after drop rates are given.

New Kina item at the Wind Breeze Merchants

Fixes

The Map Pin limit was displayed incorrectly. You can now place up to 30 Map Pins.
[Asmodian] Challenge Season Missions: the weekly mission “Daeva of Glorious Deeds” could not be completed properly.
“Movement Controls” appeared multiple times under Settings > Key Settings > General.
Some Emote commands did not work properly in chat.

What this means for Global players

The new cap on Sealed Wings morphs means you can’t turn a big stockpile of wings into Enhance Stones in one sitting anymore; plan on doing it week by week. The limit counts per server, so all your characters on one server share it. The Raw Leather boost covers both Elyos Verteron and Asmodian Altgard, so both factions benefit if you need leather.

The Resurrection Spiritstone is a straight Kina purchase, 10 a week at 25,000 Kina each, which is worth budgeting for if you burn through Spiritstones in PvP or dungeons. Server transfers and the seven-hour Abyss cap are not part of this patch; they came in the October 14 update.
