AION 2 Names War for Atreia Captains: Live Draft September 23, Hidden Bounties and Twitch Drops Confirmed

AION 2’s War for Atreia campaign now has a much clearer competitive structure. A September 21 update from NC America names all six captains, sets a live roster draft for September 23, and confirms that viewers will matter to the event through recruitment, watch rewards and follow-up Twitch Drops.

This is a substantive expansion of the original teaser, which only established the 60-creator, three-region format and the September 30 start date.

Six captains across three regions

War for Atreia is organized across North America, Europe and Latin America, with two captains anchoring the rival sides in each region.

The announced captains are:

North America: Stoopzz and Sonii
Europe: Baggins and Wakayashi
Latin America: Rakin and Tixinha

The full event has 60 creators. Each region receives 20 participants, ultimately forming six Legions across the Elyos and Asmodian sides.

The live roster draft is September 23

The remaining 54 creators will enter regional draft pools. NC America says the captains will alternate picks during an AION 2 livestream at 10:00 AM PT on September 23.

Once the draft is complete, each Legion is expected to reveal its team name and sigil.

That makes the draft the next important checkpoint for anyone following specific creators or watching how high-profile communities split between Elyos and Asmodians before launch.

Two competitions run at the same time

War for Atreia is not structured as a single leaderboard. NC America describes two parallel races:

a global Faction War between Elyos and Asmodians;
a Top Legion competition between the six creator teams.

Campaign bounties and recruited viewers contribute to those races, so the format mixes in-game objectives with community participation rather than scoring only direct PvP results.

Hidden bounties and Twitch Drops are part of the plan

The newest details also answer one of the main questions left open by the first announcement: whether viewers will receive anything for following the competition.

NC America says the event will include mid-campaign hidden bounties, viewer rewards and follow-up Twitch Drops. The specific items, watch-time requirements and claim rules have not yet been published.

That distinction matters: Twitch Drops are now confirmed as a feature of the campaign, but the reward table itself is still unknown.

Competition begins with Advanced Access

War for Atreia starts on September 30, the same day Founder’s Pack Advanced Access opens, and runs for two weeks. It therefore spans the October 5 free-to-play launch and the first days of the permanent global service.

For Steam Global players, the next updates worth watching are the September 23 draft, the finalized 60-creator roster, the six Legion identities, detailed scoring rules and the actual Twitch Drops reward list.
