AION 2 Global Raises the Gathering Requirement to Level 45 and Adds a 1,000-Per-Server Daily Cap
Region: Steam/PURPLE Global only. This article follows the Global patch notes dated Oct. 27 PDT / Oct. 28 CET. It does not describe the Korean or Taiwanese service rules.
The latest Global update adds two firm limits to resource gathering: characters must now be at least Level 45, and each server has a daily cap of 1,000 gathering actions. NC notes that the cap may be adjusted in the future.
What changed?
| Rule | Previous state | Global update |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum gathering level | Level 10 | Level 45 |
| Daily gathering count | No server-wide cap stated in this notice | 1,000 per server |
| Reset | — | 12:00 AM PDT / 8:00 AM CET daily |
That reset corresponds to 3:00 PM in China Standard Time. The 1,000 limit is server-wide; it should not be read as a separate allowance of 1,000 for every character.
What this means for gatherers and crafters
Characters below Level 45 can no longer use gathering as an early-game resource route. The server-wide cap also makes gathering capacity a shared service constraint rather than something players should assume they can multiply simply by switching characters.
The change may affect the pace at which raw materials enter the economy. However, NC has not published material-by-material allocations, new supply figures, or price forecasts. It is too early to claim that a particular resource will inevitably become scarce or more expensive.
Do failed or cancelled attempts count?
The Global notice confirms the daily cap, its server scope, and the reset time. It does not explain whether failed, cancelled, or interrupted attempts consume one of the 1,000 counts. Do not import counting details from a Korean or Taiwanese notice into the Global rules. Follow the in-game counter and any later Global clarification.
Gathering limits are not market-listing limits
This update restricts the gathering action itself. It is separate from the earlier Global system that used gameplay history when deciding whether certain gathered materials could be listed on the Market. Being able to gather an item does not automatically mean that it can be listed for sale.
