AION 2 Global Adjusts Gathered-Material Market Restrictions: Some Players Regain Trading Access

Region: Steam/PURPLE Global. Source: the October 21, 2026 Global patch notes.

NC adjusted the system that restricts gathered-material listings on the Global Market based on gameplay history. The key point in the October 21 notes is narrow but important: some players who were previously restricted will be able to trade normally, while restrictions will remain for others. This is not a blanket removal of the rule or a promise that every account will be unlocked automatically.

What changed?

The October 13/14 update introduced gameplay-history checks for listing gathered materials. The October 21 patch says the system has been adjusted, but it does not publish new unlock thresholds, identify specific accounts or provide a complete list of affected items. It confirms partial relief for some previously restricted players and continuing restrictions for others.

Players should therefore read this as a targeted adjustment—not as proof that all gathered materials are now freely listable or that every failed listing will disappear after the patch.

A Market listing restriction is not the same as an account penalty

Keep these cases separate:

  • Listing restriction: The Market rejects an attempt to sell a gathered material based on the gameplay-history rule.
  • Account restriction or security lock: A different account state that should be checked against the relevant official notice and the exact login message.

One rejected item listing does not, by itself, prove that an account has been banned. Conversely, the patch’s partial relief does not establish that every remaining restriction is a mistake. NC has not disclosed a public threshold, a guaranteed unlock period or a complete item-by-item rule.

What should affected players record?

If a listing still fails after the update, keep the full in-game message, timestamp, server and item name, then ask NC Support to review the specific case. Treat claims such as “a fixed number of hours unlocks the Market” or “buying Membership guarantees access” as unconfirmed; the October 21 notes do not establish either condition.

For legitimate gatherers and crafters, the practical distinction is between a failed listing for one item and a broader restriction on the account or Market. More detailed conclusions require additional official criteria.
