AION 2 Global Producer Letter: Queues, First Free Transfers and Ludra's Return

Region: Steam/PURPLE Global. NC’s Welcome to Atreia! producer letter appeared on October 9, 2026 (PDT), following the international release. This is a considered reading of that earlier communication, not a new October 17 Global patch announcement. The letter was published as an image-led notice; its points are cross-checked with contemporary reporting and separately published NC rules.

The meaning of the zero-queue launch policy

Advanced Access players encountered queues, and the team said it subsequently adopted a zero-queue policy for the main launch while keeping an eye on how the population spread between servers. This described an operational objective, not a pledge that queues would be technically impossible in every region forever.

NC highlighted cross-server matchmaking in eligible Expedition and Transcendence activities as a way for friends on different worlds to play together before transfers were available. Such matchmaking does not move your character permanently or remove faction restrictions.

Free transfers need the fine print

The letter promised a first free transfer, with transfers beginning October 14. Later official product descriptions and the Server Transfer Q&A explain regional application windows, transfer eligibility, same-faction rules and potential costs for extra character slots at the destination.

It would be wrong to interpret “free first transfer” as unlimited free transfers or free extra storage and character capacity. Check the destination server and current restrictions before moving, particularly if several characters are involved.

Community feedback: acknowledged, not automatically approved

NC said it reads Steam reviews, community discussions, Discord and social channels. The Founder’s Pack membership adjustment was given as an example of reacting to feedback. That is meaningful acknowledgement, but it is not approval of every request seen online.

Specific changes to cash-shop entitlements, character progression or combat should be reported as confirmed only when NC has released their own update notice.

Ludra and seasonal events: the limit of the promise

The letter mentioned Ludra’s return and early seasonal celebrations as priorities for forthcoming content. It did not give a complete dated release schedule. The separate October 5 Sanctuary notice explains that Ludra was removed from the Global launch configuration after Early Access clears, pending mechanics adjustments and a renewed First Clear event.

For raid organizers, a stated development direction, an announcement of a future date and a live playable encounter are three distinct milestones. Korean and Taiwanese Sanctuary availability cannot be used to infer a Global launch date.
