Aion2 Bot Update Oct 17: New AION 2 Boss Dodging, Cave Give-Up, Rift Tickets

Aion2 Bot had two releases on October 17, at 14:10 and 20:26. The headline is a new boss skill dodging mechanism. Auto quest now gives up on exploration caves and side quests it keeps dying in, the Spacetime Rift is entered with a teleport ticket first, and there are fixes for flight and the updater.

What changed, by release:

• 14:10: new boss skill dodging, main quest improvements, updater backup route fix.
• 20:26: cave and side quest blacklisting after repeated deaths, teleport tickets first for the Spacetime Rift, flight turn-around fix.

New boss skill dodging

The 14:10 release added a new mechanism for dodging boss skills, fully automatic. The team says it is the strongest version so far, and even a Ranger can now beat bosses directly.

Auto quest: stop dying in the same place

• Main quest: improved in the 14:10 release.
• Exploration caves: after 10 deaths in a cave, that cave is blacklisted and skipped (20:26).
• Side quests: after 15 deaths on a side quest, that side quest is blacklisted and skipped (20:26).

Your characters no longer keep dying in a cave or side quest they can’t clear, and auto quest moves on. The limits count deaths in one cave or one side quest, and once a limit is hit, that cave or side quest is blacklisted.

Spacetime Rift: teleport tickets first

From the 20:26 release, entering the Spacetime Rift uses a teleport ticket first.

The team also notes that the Spacetime Rift feature may be removed in the future.

Flight and updater fixes

• Flight (20:26): fixed a bug where the character could turn around mid-flight.
• Updater (14:10): fixed the updater not using its backup route. If the main route is down, the updater now switches to the backup. Before this fix, the updater did not fall back to the backup route when the main one failed.

How to update

To update, open the updater. On game maintenance days the update is mandatory and the old version is pulled. Test a new version on a few machines first, then update the rest.
